Torleif Andersson

With 35 years of experience in pisciculture, the majority of which were spent as operations manager at a research station in Kälarne in Jämtland, Torleif Andersson is perfectly qualified to manage Agtira’s fish-farming facilities. With his experience from breeding programmes for rainbow trout and char at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Torleif will be a most welcome addition to Agtira’s fish farming team in Härnösand and Östersund (currently under construction).

Initially, it was his interest in angling that attracted him to the industry, but nowadays, concern for the fish and their welfare is his prime motivation. And he already feels like a fish in water at Agtira.
– It’s great to be joining Agtira’s exciting journey and to be able to add my skills. Taking not only fish, but also vegetables, to a completely new level will be enormously rewarding both for me and the industry, says Torleif, whose attention to detail and methodical approach, along with his extensive experience, have become valuable assets for Agtira.
